One of my friends got into UCSD with a 3.4ish UC GPA and 1000 SAT, even though she is rejected by UCSB and UCLA.

She is not an URM. In fact, she is an ORM.
She is not one of those new immigrants. Indeed, she has been in the U.S for about eight years.

The admission system is just weird, and anything can happen.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting anxiously, including me.

She's incredibly lucky!

1000 old sat i assume?

Nope, 1000 on the NEW SAT.

I doubt she could have had a 3.4 GPA but only averaged 330 on each section.
Perhpas her math+cr was 1000 on the new SAT?

She was probably a power ranger

Or Chuck Norris

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, I believe Chuck Norris killed all of the power rangers.

chuck norris is my father

Chuck Norris wouldn't go to UCSD...

...UCSD would go to Chuck Norris!

She is from a low-performing high school that has severe grade inflation. With her permission, here is some more information.

Breakdown of her SAT I score
CR: 320 M: 380 W: 300

SAT II Asian Language w/ Listening: 700
Chemistry:450
US History: 400

Way Below Average ECs:
Member of Asian Club: 11th, 12th Grade
Memebr of Outdoor Club: 11th, 12th Grade

No employment.

Below Average Essay, in my opinion.

Ok what the hell. Either she is BSing you to make her look like the "I'm so lazy but I still beat your ass ha!" type of person or that's all I can think of.

The average score on the OLD SAT was 1000 so assume it's a 1500 on the new (500 each). I seriously doubt this..

Call Chuck Norris on her.

I know this is incredible and ridiculous. However, it is the brutal truth.

"I'm so lazy but I still beat your ass ha!"

However, she is not lazy. In fact, she is a hard-working student.

Don't you get a 320 if you write your name down and answer like 1 question right?

probably............wow she must be lucky

a person i know also got accepted to UCSD with 1500 new SAT and 3.33 UW GPA.

the catch is, he applied for religious studies and since there was not enough spots for him in the fall, UCSD accepted him for winter quarter

..........

I didn't think scores that low were possible by hard workers (no offense).

sephiroth who are you referring to?
