Fordham: High Match
Binghamton: Match/High Match
Loyola: Match
Drexel: Match
Saint Joseph’s: Low Match

With you stats, I’d say you are a match for all. The same thing happened to my friend at Fordham… your stats are very similar to hers, and I feel confident that she will be accepted regular. Good luck to you!

Deferred to RD at Saint Joseph’s

All these schools are matches or safeties; I’d be very surprised if you didn’t get into Fordham RD with the continuation of that upward trend and your GPA reaching 3.5.
Thanks for posting results after the chances, it’s too rare here.

Thank you!
& I hope so

Really leaning towards Loyola University Maryland at this point. 9 days until my decision I’m trying really hard to not fall in love with the school after reading what I’m reading online. Being deferred from St. Joes is making me really nervous about my GPA, because loyola is test optional, hopefully they care enough about SATs to take a look at mine.

Wait until you have all financial aid awards before you “fall in love” with a school. Then, go visit, do an overnight, go to “accepted students” day… THEN only make your decision.

Just got deferred to RD at Binghamton U. Waiting very nervously for loyola because word is people have been getting emails saying that they have a big surprise for them in the mail, not me though lol bad luck with the emails this year.

I also found out today that my friend who’s rank is literally about 5-10 off from mine and a 1730 sat got deferred from Fordham too

Deferred to RD at Loyola maryland today

It’s not the awesome news you wanted but it’s still “deferred”, not rejected.
is your GPA keeping up that upward trend? For a student on an upward trend, deferral usually means they want to see your 1st semester senior grades to see if the trend continued. If it’s the case, your odds are good (not absolute, but good.)

Thanks again Myos you’ve been a huge help!Yeah they’re keeping the upward trend. One thing my dad pointed out that might be the case of the multiple deferrals is the fact that I’m a low-B (with even a couple of Cs) math student and I applied for accounting. What’s saving me from rejection he thinks is the SAT math score and the honors accelerated accounting class that I’m taking this year which they would’ve seen on my transcripts. This would be good news because I have a 92 for the first Q and am working towards a 95 for the second Q.
Also I qualified for states in DECA in the accounting category despite butchering the interview part (it was my first time doing it I had no idea what I was doing) I scored the highest in the region on the finance cluster exam. I plan on explaining some of this in an email or letter to Fordham and Loyola. I figure this will show them that I take my future major seriously and I’m just not so good at algebra, which really has nothing to do with accounting.
Overall I’m looking at a 3.7 for Q2 which should just barely pull my cumulative GPA up to a 3.5.

Did you highlight all this in a letter to them?
If not, you should write something :)

Yup, I’m going to find out the proper admissions officers at Loyola and Fordham and write either a letter or email (any recommendations?) explaining my accomplishment and thanking them for their continued consideration or something like that. & might throw in a bonus letter of recommendation from a senior year teacher. My grades will be sent at the end of next week once mid-terms are over.
