you go mum, watch “the devil and Daniel Johnston” netflix would have it?
you really re think what the "word Johnstons’ would never utter which start with H " parents are to do when you got real borderline case in your hand.
I am about halfway house now, I can see it coming…

ya, he made it to Kent state only to be shipped back failing, but there he met his muse of lifetime, which fueled his entire twisted rising fame in the bird cage.
so, going to college is never the waste.

or is it? only time could tell.

fammom - I love it. You are too cool. Join bears and I on our art school mid life journey. go look up Yayoi Kusama now. Another fun “case”.

you mean nutcase. I bet famkid learned in his high high IB class already

Any news about the ED art hometest yet? My mail has to be forwarded from a US address and thus I have no idea if I can figure out the portfolio/hometest situation in time. If someone has already received their hometest questions I would very much appreciate if they could post them to me. Sort of freaking out as last year…

hey thanks for bumping
I can’t help you on that, did you try livejournal or facebook?
this forum/site/thread aren’t active.
Cooper art kids are not so much CC kids.

good luck all EDers! the brave and committed!!
sorry for your international-ing. where you from? you lose what, a week or so?
sending in should be OK, no? all to be postmarked on the same day from the south pole, or how that work?

hey annalaroe, i’m applying ED too and I live in the us (i’m on the east coast so i’m relatively close) and haven’t gotten it yet, so don’t freak out yet. :)

Cooper just mailed the home test on Friday (12-10-10) so it is unlikely that anyone has them yet. My DS got a “Faculty Referred” application at NPD and I had a question about it, so I had called to talk to admissions last Monday. She told me they were being mailed on Friday.

I suspect that based on last year’s requirements, my son my skip this home test. PAFA is his first choice and he was accepted there and invited to participate in the Caldwell Scholarship. That has a home test too and will take priority.

good luck everyone!

annalroe- I remember from last year that it isnt the postmark date, it has to be in by the date it has to be in by. Make sure the US address people send you everything. The return envelope is very important. Everything has to fit in it.

I’m from Finland and applied last year as well but was rejected after deferral to the regular decision pool. Last year I actually flew in a day before the deadline and handed in the stuff personally This time I don’t think I have a chance to do that but I have a friend who’s flying in on the 28th of Dec so I might ask her to take the envelope to Cooper. In any case I probably only have a week to complete the hometest but it’s all about time management I’m not that worried. I hope the deadline is later this year. Last year it was the 4th or 5th of Jan but I think the test arrived earlier…

And I have other reasons to visit NYC as well Not that crazy I would fly in just for this…

Finland!! Moomintroll! Tove Jansson!!!
…Ok, I’ll go the the “book thread”

Finland = Gluten Free Mecca
Also celiac Finns are so stalwart/stoic/hardy that they do endoscopies without any anesthesia!

McDonald’s there have gluten free Big Macs because of the large celiac population.

^^ is that why girls become Victoria ‘s secret models? or was it sweden?
no gluten = no fat???
all in Scandinavia are fuzzy. I don’ do so well geography at all at all.

My son received the home test yesterday. Very interesting assignments, to say the least.

I still haven’t received the first letter they sent out after filling out the application form… Which probably means I’m screwed with the whole process…

Haha yes Moomin and gluten free stuff. No Victoria’s Secret models tho, thats Sweden. (Finland is actually not part of Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway). Just a “Nordic country”. Sorry for the lecture haha)

OK I looked up the map.
http://www.norway-hei.com/images/map-of-scandinavia.jpg
I thought where Norway was Sweden, where Sweden was Finland, and did not worry about where Norway was. duh
^^ it’s not my place to ask but debbi, can you PM prompt to annalaroe, since you don’t need to worry about anymore?
she done once, know the ropes, just questions short list, so (s)he can start on it?
envelope should arrive in time for sending it out.
I just heard that Helsinki has 25 times faster internet than US average. if all infrastructure is like that, once get there, things should be hi-speed, no?

I’m at work and paperwork is at home. But, I can take care of sending it out once i am home this evening. :)

ETA: the “essay” questions seem to be similar/the same as last year.

That would be wonderful! I would be VERY grateful if you could do that, debbi (:

Haha I guess Finland pretty high-tech, after all Nokia is Finnish ;-)
