So I just got a letter of acceptance from them. I really have no clue on this school other than it's a very small town with little to do. I sent in my application under Radio & Television and my second option was Journalism. What I'm asking is how are those programs and is the town really dead in terms of socializing?

Also a little about me, I went to what is called a "Careers School." They have a lot of specialties that give you hands on experience in the study you want. So in other words I've handled lots of high end or pricey cameras such as GL's and XL's to name some, and I've got a pretty hands on experience with editing with Adobe Premier. Also I work on the school news where I've gone out to report, get interviews, get b-roll, and I do camera work for the show. So in other words I've gotten the chance to be involved in things that a lot of other high school students don't do for a while.

Is Commerce the school where I can get more experience in this field, or will I be reviewing and learn a little bit more of what I learned in High school. Honestly I don't have a problem going to a Community College for 2 years and transferring out to another college (in fact the closest CC is literally about a mile apart from my current school). However I've been reading up on it and the college experience sounds enticing, so I am considering this school.

For any of those wondering, the school I go to is here
The Academy of Irving ISD High School, Irving Texas
