I desperately need help deciding whether its better: attending Texas Tech Honors College with 28,000$ in scholarships or attending Texas A&M with no scholarships. My intended profession is law and I know that A&M’s Alumni network is vast and large. I see myself better living there than in Tech but still remain unsure. 30k+ difference is a lot of money
Personally I would go to Tech. They have a huge Alumni network too all over. I know a ton of Tech alumni in Houston. If you went there undergrad, get really good grades and then go to UT Law you would have it made! When you are planning to go to law school save all that you can undergrad!
One thing that always struck us about Tech was the unusually high GPA required to KEEP the scholarships. Do you have to keep a 3.5 GPA for those scholarships?
If you’re planning on law school, then it’s going to be more about grades and LSAT. You’ll be taking out a lot of loans for law school. I would go for Tech.
Many tech students that I know have gotten into the tech law school. I don’t know if the have or preference or if that is by chance. Also, the honors college has an early acceptance into law school program that you may consider.
