<p>I suspect you haven't had a response because no one here knows the answer to your question. Speaking very generally, many of the people who comment at the Parents' Forum are parents whose children have already gone to college and who don't have current information. (We certainly have lots of advice, though.)</p>
<p>You might try posting this on the SAT/ACT thread or maybe on a thread used by more students who might know the numbers you want.</p>
<p>The National Merit Semi-Finalists are announced in early September, so I'm not sure that the data is even published yet. The cutoff for Texas in 2005 was 216.</p>
<p>SBDad is correct - that information will not be available until September. Anything you may have heard is speculation only.</p>
<p>Last year's cutoff was 217; the previous year was 216. We are hoping that a miracle causes the cutoff to drop 2 points in September, but it ain't likely! :(</p>
