Texas State Colleges for Violin Performance

Greetings

This my first post, and I hope I’m in the right area… My daughter is a junior in high school and wants to major in violin performance. She’d love to study out of state but unless she got a great scholarship that would be very difficult. We’ll let apply outside the state, but we are hoping to find a state school in Texas that she’ll like and can accepted into. She will be visiting and doing trial lessons this spring at UNT, UT Austin, and Texas State. Any other state schools she should look into? She seems to be open to anywhere in Texas except Houston.

She is advanced on her instrument, but not a prodigy, and did well in AP Music Theory, also sings and plays the piano. Her cumulative GPA is 89 and her current year GPA is 93. Most of her academic classes are AP. She took the SAT in August and got a 1180, and she has been studying ever since then, and hopefully it will go up when she takes it again in March.

With that in mind, any suggestions for state universities in Texas?
