I'll be looking to transfer soon and was wondering about the architecture programs at both schools. Also what the campus of each are like. Any advice from students or alum of these or any SOA are much appreciated...

not any of the 28 views have anything to say…

TAMU’s campus isn’t great looking but College Station is better than Lubbock.

Honestly, I would have to say Texas Tech is the way to go for architecture.
Some people will tell you not to go there because Lubbock is “boring”, but I know quite a few people that have gone/go there and they LOVE it. The campus is beautiful, and there is literally always something to do when you’re not studying.

However, you should still consider A&M. If you haven’t been there before, make sure you visit. They have soooo many traditions there it’s crazy. Some people really like them, and some people hate them. And if you’re one of those people that loves the spirit aspect of the school, you might think that outweighs the slight difference in education you’ll get at the two different schools.

For example, my sister was a Civil Engineering Major. She applied to Tech, UT, and A&M and got accepted to all three. Although UT truly had a better program, she chose A&M because she realllly wanted to be an aggie.

But if that’s not really a priority, then Tech, for sure. :)
