^^Doubtful for any Big 12 rematch. Somehow the football media is going to select an SEC team to play in the MNC. I think Florida will win out and especially beat Bama in the SEC title game. Furthermore, they didn't put a rematch between Michigan and tOSU.

I agree that it is doubtful. However, I've seen a lot crazier things happen than an SEC team being upset late in the season. (which is essentially what needs to happen..Florida and Alabama play one another, so the team that wins would need to lose prior to that game, and two big 12 teams need to win out...UT + either Tech or OU).

Yeah, I doubt that too. The national media would probably bump up USC to the #2 position just to prevent a matchup (oh that would turn my stomach ;))!

You also have to remember that the computers don't like USC that much because of strength of schedule. The strength of schedule for the Big 12 South teams is ridiculous.

UT=screwed. They played all their tough games too early. I could see a Tech-UT final only if Florida loses to South Carolina, then beats Alabama. And that would be assuming that Tech wins out, and that the polls don't jump Penn St or USC over them. But UT has a huge edge on the other one loss teams because they lost on the last play of the game. But OU and Florida control their destinies, UT has KU and A&M left. Even if they have impressive wins over both of them, it probably won't boost them much.

Let us not forget that the Big 12 South team could still lose the Big 12 Championship game. It is quite likely they would face Missouri. Mizzou hasn't played up to potential this year, but still has a ton of talent and could enter that game with a 10-2 overall record. Furthermore, the game is being played at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri.

Neither Tech nor OU have played Mizzou this year. Texas destroyed them but lest we forget 2001 when Texas destroyed CU in the regular season only to lose to them in the Big 12 Championship game at Texas Stadium (the game had the infamous Chris Simms 2nd quarter meltdown).

Yeah but you have to remember, as long as UT wins out, the loser of OU and TT will go below UT in the BCS rankings. Either way, UT gets a BCS bowl as long as they win out. Furthermore, OU still has to play OSU in Stillwater and that is not going to be easy for them either. The way I see it, if OU beats TT, OU jumps UT in the rankings and jumps to #2. But UT should remain at #3 should they win out. On the otherhand, If TT wins, they remain at #2 and land in the Big 12 CCG. Texas on the other side, should be at #3 and will get a BCS bowl. You need to be in the top 4 of the BCS in order to automatically get a BCS bid.

Texas Tech will beat OU. Florida will not lose to S. Carolina and will beat Alabama.
Gators and Raiders for the BCS Championship.
