Texas Tech's EVHM major

Okay, I'm applying to Texas Tech right now and I'm trying to choose my major, previously I was going to apply to for their Enivroment & Humanities Major (EVHM) as I believe that was the only way to get into their Honors College, but now that I learned about that the honors college is something you applied to separately I am stuck with choosing between my general coursework of Biology (Pre-Med but I don't want to be so inclusive) and a minor in English, or, EVHM and a minor in Biology, since EVHM does have more scholarship opportunities...

So I wanted to know about the marketability of an EVHM major, would higher ranked universities even recognize it? Would a potential PT, or PA, or even medical school discount on me because I chose this 'experimental' major?

I don’t know much about the EVHM major here, but I am in the honors college. You can apply for honors no matter what your major or perspective field is. I’m also Pre-med, and I’ve been told that it doesn’t matter what your major is but just to do what you want to do. I have met many Pre med students here, and although most are biology majors, there are plenty who aren’t. I would look into the HAL (honors arts and letters) major here at Tech. I know a few people participating in that through the honors college for Pre med and Pre law and they love it. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about Tech. Oh and I HIGHLY recommend honors here; it’s really made my time great here at Tech.
