Textbooks or Review Books?

So as a student that resides in South Korea, my school obviously does not offer AP classes. So a couple of friends and I have decided to self-study some subjects. I've seen some people say that review books such as Barron's are enough to score a five on some subjects but some absolutely need textbooks. So I'm not certain on which book I should get. The following are the subjects I'll be studying.

Biology
Environmental Science
Psychology
World History

Also, I'm not sure if I should be taking any of the English APs, I've seen some people who say that they got a 5 without studying or taking the class but I'm wondering if its possible. I don consider myself a decent writer and I've been a pretty avid reader since s young age.

All of those listed are easy self-study APs. Also yes, you can use entirely the review book to study but I would also recommend using supplemental materials to help out (search google).

Also you need to be a decent writer for ALL AP exams because every exam has essay sections. Just practice your writing. Most review books don’t have specific guides on how to write AP essays (most just gloss over the essays and give you tips on what to write).

Thank you
Also I’ve heard that the Biology test changed this year.
Does this mean I should wait for the new book to come out?
Or can I do it with the older ones?
