Googling "national merit scholarships" a little less than one year ago, I stumbled on CC and Bob Wallace's posts. Without the posts by Bob Wallace, I may have never realized the benefits of NMF. The information opened possibilities to my son. 4 full tuition offers (some more) for my son, and other lesser scholarships. Thank you, Bob, for your work on the scholarship thread. What a resource for students and parents!

Smmboys: thank you for starting this…I have thought often that I needed to send thanks as well.
Bob, the time you invest and your attention to detail is greatly appreciated. You provide invaluable information in such an accessible format. Thanks for all you do!

I’m also very thankful. Once I found out how much was offered to NMF, I studied extremely hard to raise my PSAT score, and I’ll now most likely be a NMF.

Yes - Thank you for all the time you’ve spent helping all of us!

Just adding my thanks here. It’s still early in the process for my DD, but not too early to start learning and understanding what’s out there. Thank you SO MUCH!

I wholeheartedly agree with what has been said about Bob Wallace and wish to add a few additional participants that I consider as Hall of Fame posters in this forum. Each of these individuals provided valuable advice over the years to thousands on CC to guide us through the National Merit process.

My apologies go out to other contributors that I omitted from my list. Perhaps other readers can their own favorite posters.

Yes! Thanks so much! You are a great group of helpful folks here…

Yes-Bob’s helped me too. Thank You!

Yes, thanks much to Bob and to those other knowledgeable and generous posters. Thanks to your help, my family is considering a couple of schools that would never have been on the radar, and which would provide a wonderful college experience. Much appreciated!

Bob has spent countless hours organizing and researching various scholarships and putting them in very organized threads.

Thanks

Thank you all for the kind words.

I have received a lot of benefit from CC. I’m sure I’ve gotten more out than I’ve put in, thanks to so many helpful and knowledgeable contributors.

Bob, I can’t tell you what a huge difference this has meant to our family. Had I not found your threads when I first happened on CC, not sure where we would be now. As it is, that gave us inspiration in her college search. We found great schools that were initially intended as financial safeties. Now D fell hard for one of them and will attend this fall. She was free to choose from other more expensive options, but financially and in every way, such a relief for us. Just hope that as I research and find out more I can contribute a little and ‘give back.’ Thank you, thank you.

Can I also add kelsmom, cptofthehouse and alamemom to the big thank-you postings? And there are dozens of other CC regulars who seem to help others on a regular basis. Thank you, all!

I concur with the above posts. So many posters have been so helpful to me as we send off our first-born! Bob Wallace, cptofthehouse, nugraddad, mom2collegekids, etc.,thank you!

Adding my thank you! :D

Adding my thank you too! So grateful for those mentioned above and this community as a whole!
