My essays were undoubtedly a huge headache; I spent a large amount of time on them until I was satisfied. For the "Why Northwestern" essay, I correlated my specific future career goals with the tools that Penn could offer for me to achieve them. I also wrote about my involvement in my high school community and the great amount of school spirit that is demonstrated on Penn's campus, in addition to the types of students and niches that are available there.

The Common App essay was about music. I felt like I truly had to write an essay about this; it has been a major part of my life. I wrote about the importance of collaboration that I have seen in my musical ensembles and the never-ending strive for perfection.

I really hope you didn't say "Penn" when you meant "NU" for the "Why Northwestern?" essay!

i copied and pasted this from the upenn category
please disregard the sections about my essays!

As another ED applicant, I honestly think you'd be fine RD. Class rank and SATs are fantastic.
