We just returned from a week staying with friends in their family vacation house in Hawaii. We want to send them a generous thank you gift.
Has anyone used Crowd cow or something similar. They also mentioned they were going to start the Keto diet so I don’t want to send a food basket with a lot of carbs.
Any good ideas?
If they are about to start Keto, they will be eating a good bit of meat. You could send a big assortment from ButcherBox if you think they would have freezer space available.
We had some folks stay with us two weeks ago for three days. We also helped them with an event they sponsored. As a thank you, they got us a very very generous gift certificate to our local grocery store. We really were surprised…and it’s something we can use to buy what we want. I already bought three really nice perennials to plant near our mailbox.
If they are on the Big Island, everyone there goes to Costco at least once in a while to bargain hunt. I would send them a Costco gift card!
@BunsenBurner they are back at their home in Washington state. They live on a small island in the San Juan’s with a tiny grocery store and just a few restaurants.
@GRITS80 have you ordered from Butcher Box?
I’ve never heard of crowd cow. Sounds intriguing. What kinds of things do your friends like/want/need? What are their hobbies. Ages? Genders?
How about something like this? It’s unique and some things they may like to have with it?
@mom60 My kids got me ButcherBox for Mother’s Day. It was an assortment- 2 one pound packs of ground beef, 2 packs of pork loin, 3 packs of chicken breasts, 2 filet mignons, a pound of bacon, and a pound of sirloin beef tips. They have other options like an all seafood assortment as well. Very good quality and a great gift.
No, I haven’t ordered from them personally. I know of Keto-followers who swear by them. My understanding is that ButcherBox meats are very high quality. Grass fed beef, organic chicken, wild caught fish. I am not familiar with Crowd Cow.
