I had an interview with a Harvard alum, and he emailed me his report to make sure that he didn't make factual errors. The report was generally very positive. Moreover, due to a filing error at Harvard, the alum had to come down (40 miles) on the last possible day to conduct the interview and just hours before his plane left for a vacation. Is a thank you card (or maybe something more) entitled here? Thanks.

Yes. Make sure it's a "real card," not some tacky on-line one, though.

Of course! He came down 40 MILES to interview you?!?!? And showed you the report?! That is totally ridiculous and awesome. Definitely give him a thank you card!

You should follow-up all your interviews with thank you notes.

A card is better than nothing, but not as courteous as a mailed handwritten thank-you note with one or two specific statements about what exactly he did that you appreciated.
