Thank You!

<p>As I was reading about the cities of [url=<a href="http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=52426%5DBerkeley%5B/url"&gt;http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=52426]Berkeley[/url&lt;/a&gt;] and [url=<a href="http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080212/BREAKINGNEWS/354415839%5DToledo%5B/url"&gt;http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080212/BREAKINGNEWS/354415839]Toledo[/url&lt;/a&gt;] disrespecting those that put their lives on the the line for us, I felt compelled to post a 'Thank You !!!' to all the H.S. seniors that will be entering the academies. </p>

<p>Millions of Americans appreciate your service and sacrifice.</p>

<p>I wholeheartedly support your thank you and I also would like to thank those heading off to west point. </p>

<p>However, I have to point out that what you said ("disrespecting those that put their lives on the the line for us") is a bit extreme. Just because Berkeley doesn't want recruiters doesn't mean the city doesn't respect those that are serving. They may just be expressing disagreement with the current war. That certainly doesn't mean they are disrespecting "those that put their lives on the line for us."
Disagreement with the government is a very American thing to do. You could even say dissent defines us as Americans.</p>
