let's say happy thanksgiving to everyone on this forum!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A blessed Thanksgiving to all!

YAY! thanksgiving is AWESOME...four day week, four day weekend!!

YES!!!! Time to write my research paper!

LOL, seriously though, Thanksgiving is the bomb, I love cooking, and then taking the food and dingdongditching, even though that is a later in the year activity takes a rain check baking is still fun though, it's finding people to eat it that's the problem, no brothers running around, what to do, what to do...

I am going to type somthing I'm thankful for, and you have to type the first thing you are thankful for that pops into your head when you read it. Ready?

Fingers

fingers? hahah

my parents

I WANT MASHED POTATOES!!!

but i can't because i'm asian. i think we're having chicken and stuff.eh

I am thankful for both sons home for Thanksgiving. It may not happen again for quite some time.

Aww...that is very sweet. I can only imagine how I would feel when I have grown-up children. :(. I'm thankful everyday though for everything!!! :)

I am so thankful to my parents for making the decision to homeschool me. It is only now, as I am a few months from graduation, that I fully realize what a sacrifice it has been for my mom. Praise God for blessing me with such great parents!

lol we had pizza, sweet potatoes and potato rolls...

I'm thankful for my family, my parents work so hard to keep 12 kids running, and for so many interesting things to do!!! Life is amazing!

Happy Nationally Recognized Gorge Yourself Day!

^hahha :)

i don't think we had a typical thanksgiving this year. we ate korean pancakes all afternoon watching 'bewitched'.

:D all cuz we are asians

That's awesome! We don't do that for thanksgiving (that is, when the family is normally together, which it wasn't this year) but at christmas time, christmas day food is Latvian pancakes, usually with fruit or sour cream, made by our Latvians. (We adopted 4, so it's kind of a mixed culture around here).

Haven't seen that one yet, how is it?

it wasn't as good as i thought it would be, though it was pretty hilarious.

My daughter joined me to visit my extended family for Thanksgiving. It's nearly the end of her first quarter at college, and was her first weekend away. I'm thankful that she navigated the whole admissions process and landed at the school of her choice. She couldn't be happier right now.

Too bad we missed the pancakes, though.

Nan - that's awesome! You must be so proud of her!

SweetestSith, I certainly am. But I'm also talking about it because I'm proud of all homeschoolers, who take responsibility for their own educations. I think it's a courageous choice, and getting through the college application process is part of it.

Going through the application process can be a scary thing for any student, but it can be extra stressful for homeschoolers and their families. If you're ever going to doubt your choices, this would be the time. So, this is just my two cents to say hang in there, respect the choices you've made, and take the time to package it all into knockout applications. It can all work out better than you can imagine.

Thank you, that's great advice!

we should start a christmas thread now :)

by the way, TODAY"S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

i love you everyone. cuz i homeschool i got to eat a nice, long birthday breakfast korean style this morning!

Happy birthday! =D
