That thing

We don't have APUSH @ our school (or honors). So I'm taking regulars. Finals are next week. I plan on studying for the final, but hoping to alleviate the pain of cramming the AP material. So in review for the final and the AP exam, should I study the REA book for every chapter or the American Pageant Notes for every chapter.

For the AP Exam? Both, but if you have to choose, study with REA more. REA is very good. If you can, try and get someone who has taken the class and done well read some essays, or submit your essays to a grading service (I think College Board has one..). The multiple choice is very straightforward, but the essays can definetly be tricky. Remember, outside info!!! looots of outside info.

Just a warning, the APUSH AP exam is much harder than the AP Euro one. I got 5's on both, but I also took both classes. So, I'm wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks. I'll ask my US History teacher to give me essays and like grade them (not enough people signed up, 4, me included, for the class because it is infamously hard). I'm sure I'll do ok/well on the multiple choice. Without reading the REA, I did some of the questions and got them right. So my teacher's regulars isn't a piece of cake (I'm assuming, since I haven't prepped). Overall, I'm a good, fast essay writer, and I'm awesome at DBQs (we didn't have AP W. History, but my teacher gaves us practice ones, and she put good AP answer....but I don't know if she is credible enough to take that to heart). I don't know.....:)

i'm not sure about the varying difficulty of the AP Euro and APUSH exams. i got a 4 on AP Euro (with studying) and a 5 on APUSH w/o studying. maybe it's because i enjoyed the APUSH class more and i am naturally better at us history...

bump this post up X 108!

I'll bump it up with a question: What's APUSH? I keep hearing people talk about it, but I have no idea what it is. It's my school's fault, I tell you. They only offered us two honors classes in the entire time I've been in high school.

APUSH is Advanced Placement United States History.

Heh. It all makes sense now. Thanks :D

LOL....ya, APUSH is US History AP.

Finals are COMING up....anymore opinions on what I should do?

oh man, I loved the American Pageant boook.

Take practice tests. A lot of them.
The way to getting 5s on AP tests is practice tests. That way, you'll know what to expect. I got a 5 on AP US and an 800 on the SAT II because I knew the classic questions: Immigration Act of 1924, Who wrote The Jungle, stuff like that.

I know that! :)

Anyways...so study American Pageant book detailed notes (from online) or REA for finals?
