No Cal

Santa Clara is better than CSUSJ

Ten-Hut! nothing but the best for the navy. but the naval academy is so specialized.. so you shouldn't include a service academy!!!

UPenn
Swarthmore
PSU

Dubya's hometwon

Austin
Rice
A&M

Montana U is much better than Montana St. or Montana Tech. Those other two are sub-campuses of Montana. That's like saying Dallas is better than Austin or some other PSU campus being better than University Park, the main one.

Colgate, Hamilton, Vassar, URochester > NYU
Haverford, CMU, Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette > PSU

as usual i agree with gellino. there is absolutely no way that nyu is better than those schools, and same with penn state (i'd also possibly add bryn mawr over penn state and barnard over nyu as well)

um, for va schools, i'd go with W&M first, then UVA, the W&L.

Cornell

Princeton
Duke

Emory and Vanderbilt are much closer to Duke's geography than they are to Texas. You're going to get a lot of people bent out of shape on this board mentioning Cornell over Dartmouth, Brown, Williams or Amherst, even if it is more well known internationally.

South states:
Emory
Duke
vanderbilt
"You're going to get a lot of people bent out of shape on this board mentioning Cornell over Dartmouth, Brown, Williams or Amherst, even if it is more well known internationally."well i don't like to compare universities with LAC(Amherst , williams)i'm sure they are top schools and in terms of Underg and grad i think cornell is a little better than Dartmouth, Brown.

1 Massachusetts Institute of Technology US
2 University of California, Berkeley US

Cal/Berkeley and Cornell seem to be overrated internationally compared to how they are viewed within the U.S. I'm not sure exactly why this is, but feel that their large, well respected grad schools that disproportionately have a science focus to them has something to do with it.

those are two top schools i don't see why they would be overrated .....
