How are you supposed to improve?? Remember more when you read?? That's harder to improve than CR.

I'd say the same for Science, but there's slightly more to it than just remembering what you read - there's a little bit of reasoning. But Science is also somewhat absurd. I don't hate it as much because I do well in it :P lol.

So because you don’t do as well as you would like to on it, the section is absurd?

Yep because I find no way to improve. There’s no skill involved.

Then, change your strategy. Perhaps try reading the questions first, then going to the passages; try to find what works for you.

I found it really straightforward, actually. Definitely the ‘best’ of the sections for me. The LARGE majority of the answers are literally right in the text, so unless the issue is timing, just read carefully to find the answer. No tricks, it’s all right in front of you! That’s how I looked at it, at least.

^That’s exactly the problem. It doesn’t require thinking… just being able to finish under time and remember everything you read (so you don’t waste time when looking back). Pretty absurd to me…

I wish I stuck with the SAT lol.

Actually to improve, you need to improve your reading comprehension or reading speed . Or just go to the questions first and pick out answers.

Well, if you’re taking it tomorrow, you’re not going to improve.
But for the future, practice reading faster, it’s really helpful, I promise.

I’d just pick up a different strategy like

Hit the line number problems first since the answer to the question is specified
Realize that the ACT reading is ALOT easier than the SAT in the sense that the answers are straight forward and rarely based off of inference. Time is the only killer

Be faithful man, be confident and you’ll rock it

Good luck guys (and girls!)
