The Advantages of the 2400

I think we need a list of advantages of getting a 2400 on the SAT so people can better judge if they should retake the SAT after getting a 2300 or above. Anyone have any suggestions?

And no, "to be a boss" does not count.

to be a bo–nvm.

you achieve the 99th percentile

Although not much different from 23xx, it does undoubtly look better.

Bragging rights lol jk

You get to say that you are of equal standing to me in at least one aspect of your existence, which is quite impressive.

Jazzyindy: Proof please?

Or were you just talking about what it looks like to people, not just adcoms?

I think adcoms look at SATs very differently than we do: They don’t take them. They use them to gauge success in college, and even if they do use them to see how smart you are, you don’t generally treat scores near the max any differently than the max: It becomes more a perfection test than an intelligence test.

Never retake 2300+

Remember where you are: college confidential, where a sub-3000 SAT won’t get you into community college

^like.
10

What about 2200+?

^ Only you should determine whether or not you should retake it. I retook a 2370 and it only required a small sign up fee and 4 hours on a Saturday morning.

^All the real pros score 2400 on the first try.

I became a presidential scholar with a 2360 and a 35…and there are only 141 of those, so a 23xx is obviously “high enough.” Don’t bother going for perfection if you’re already that close.

^ To each his own

Which state were you in, Split Infinity, and what was you M+CR score?

This thread is making me feel inferior with my 2250.

advantages: becoming a bigger jerkoff than you prob already are

^ My impenetrable shield of narcissism prevents me from being offended by your remark.

^You already used that one, Jersey. What did I tell you about varying your narcissistic remarks?

KY. There were 3 scholars from Kentucky (i.e., boy + girl + one at large). Math = 790, CR = 790, Writing = 780.

oh good one.
get laid before youre 40, then talk to me

College Confidential - The only place where 2400s truly matter. ;)

You can always tell your kids, colleagues, grandkids, etc you got a perfect SAT. When I started preparing for the SAT my dad was bragging to me about his 1600.

Dad’s anecdote:
