The AP US History Study Thread

would have allowed seceded states to reenter the union after the Civil War if 50 percent of a state's voters took an oath of allegiance to the United States and the state submitted a constitiution. wade and davis were the two who proposed it. (aka 50 perecent plan).

What was the "10 percent plan"?

it changed the 50 percent plan you mentioned to just 10 percent of voters

REPEAT: Who was the CCC and the president?

Who was Sam Houston?

Civilan conservation corps. idk the leader

leader who fought for Texas' independence. he was president of independent texas

REPEAT: who was president of the CCC?

oh sorry, clarification, i meant who was the president at the time

much easier lol

ah yes...FDR of course

ha, no kidding. FDR, as the CCC came outta the 100 Days/New Deal

How did the US undermine their own neutrality prior to Pearl Harbor in WWII?

FDR

Q: Why did the US not do anything when they knew Ngo Dinh Diem would be assassinated?

oh, question: I'll name a measure, say whether it is from the first or second new deal.

A.)Social Security
B.)Tenn Valley Authority
C.) Agricultural Adjustment Administration
D.)Rural Electrification Administration

How did the US undermine their own neutrality prior to Pearl Harbor in WWII?

I'm not sure if this is right, but the US had patrol ships in the Atlantic, which would scout out German submarines. They were allowed to fire at will if they spotted a sub within the patrol area. They also gave a bunch of weapons to Britain to fight in the war

so for questions we have:

Q: How did the US undermine their own neutrality prior to Pearl Harbor in WWII?

Q: Why did the US not do anything when they knew Ngo Dinh Diem would be assassinated?

Q:First or Second New Deal?
A.)Social Security
B.)Tenn Valley Authority
C.) Agricultural Adjustment Administration
D.)Rural Electrification Administration

Diem was too hard to deal with in the eyes of the US, so they were like "ya, you can kill him"

See above for questions

so basically just the last question from post 432

Q: Why did the US not do anything when they knew Ngo Dinh Diem would be assassinated?

the US in fact helped by secretly saying that they would interfere
he was also growing unpopular, and the barbequed monks comment certainly didn't help...

Ya, just guessing:

2nd
1st
1st
2nd

ha, mentos...what was this monk comment and why havent i heard it

you guessed correctly, Birdman (GinPA). Proceed with the asking.

the monks burned themselves in the streets in protest of Diem and his sister-in-law called them barbequed monks

nice, educated guesses are amazing

Who led the Mormons to the West? And who led other settlers west to California?

ha, bbq'ed monks

smith lead the mormons to the west, i don't know who lead people to california

ya i really dont remember either. we watched a movie about it and he pretty much ditched them and they all died

The attitude of western settlers was supported when this man said, "Go West young man, Go West."
