what do yout hink the curves is going to be liek this year? like what range of scores is going to be 5, 4, etc?

Nice, I hope so. I mean, I didn't do too well in the DBQ, but I know I did well in the other two essays (hopefully). Plus, I had to guess on like 15 questions, so given that I get all those wrong, give and take a few, my raw score would still probably be over 70% for MC.

I think the harder essays but easier multiple choice will balance it out to around the same curve as 2002.

the curve for 2002 seems so unrealistic though. because in the PR book, it says if you aim for 2/3 right on MC and essays, that's like aiming for a three. but that puts you in the 5 according to 2002 curve. and the PR books say only around 10% get 5...and the 2002 curve seems way too easy. but i dont' know. haha. any insights? thanks!

I think PR's grading scale is a little too strict... 2/3 right on mult. choice should be 4 or 5. I think 70-75% on the multiple choice is good for a 5.

@password, what was the curve last year?

EDIT: NVM, but how do curves work?

i don't know last year's curve, but someone posted 2002 curve on this.
according to PR, 2002 breakdown is...
5-10.6%
4-17.6%
3-28.9%
2-24.5%
1-18.4%

I got a 91% on the 2002 MC. And I thought this one was easier, so I'm hoping for >91%. :O

hmm, surge, what does 91% mean? (sorry for ignorance)

i'm guessing 91% correct so..a 109/120?

I think he means mult. choice lol.. like 90% of 70.. whatever that is =P

i can't belive I didn't finsih the third essay. I got so caught in writing about one of the choices. i forgot to finish writing the rest. I am so stupid.

im sure it will be ok. how much did you have a chance to write?

i made a mistake too.....i misgrided over half the test.....and i didnt have time to regrid them all....so i ended up leaving way too many blank.

The multiple choice was far easier than expected...
Kinda makes me want to take back writing enough notes to keep a fireplace burning for a night.

Essay were sort of hard. Not bad.
We can talk about it as long as somebody doesn't snitch on us to the College Board.

yeah, 2 of the essays i had almost no idea about. -___-

me too. i had to think for longer than the 5 minutes, and then i came up with some stuff.

ok for the cot is it ok if i said a date that was outside the time period but still relevant to the overall topic?

Perhaps, if it is connected to the main topic and shows directly how the event was affected.
