How did everyone think of the APES exam today?

I actually knew what the MC and FRQs were. I legit thought I was being Punk’d. Now I’m sure I’m going to pass!

How many hectare’s did you get to offset the amount of carbon?

Er…you put me on the spot but i got 6…you?

6 hectares

I self-studied APES, but I “forgot” to study…and it was still ridiculously easy.

Yaaaaaaay! That means I got the math part right. When they say the question will be released in two days, is that with the answers?

Yes! I got 6 too!!! Now I know I didn’t set it up right but whatever

@The SpasticTroll: Does that mean you didn’t take the class, wanted to self-study, but never did? If someone just took biology and chemistry honors, would he or she be able to pass the APES Exam with a 5?

APES has nothing to do with bio or chem literally everything is about env impacts and using fuel for energy…no lie…

I’m going to say probably, but don’t hold me to it. I don’t see the point of releasing the scoring guidelines later in the year, but College Board may want to wait.

That means I didn’t want to take class, was planning on studying, and then decided to spend yesterday studying everything I needed to know for AP Psychology…I self-studied that as well. I used Honors Earth Science, AP Biology, and common to take the test. I would recommend actually using a review book.

I totally forgot how to do the math on the FRQ so I was kind of forced to write random answers. At least I didn’t do what my friend did and wrote a poem about why they couldn’t do the math :D.

Overall, the FRQ’s had a couple easy ones (drawing arrows for the trophic levels anyone?) and then some hard ones. MC wasn’t too bad.

I know! When I saw the arrows I was like “Watch me mess this up…”
I was debating whether or not I would have drawn things but I figured I’d do that on my Government exam

Honestly…I dont care much about APES…I hated the class and I probably will end up with a 4 on the exam. There is no way I got a 5…

I don’t care about it either but happy nonetheless that without a lot of effort I’ve retained information that I never knew I had. Plus it was my first exe ever so I was pretty excited for it

So APES is my first exam, and nobody told me to put the question numbers in my FRQ responses, so I didn’t. But I did label the different sections of each, like “a)i)” and what not. I just didn’t put like “1)a)i)” is that going to mess me up? Each page did say “Use this space for answering question 1”, etc. if I remember correctly." I’m kinda worried about this.

No as long as you labeled a) or i) you should be fine

Nah, I didn’t do that either. Like if a a) said to name two thing I would write a) (i) blah blah blah (ii) blah blah…but I do this out of habit and not because it’s required. It makes it easier for me to see what I have covered.

Ugh I completely blanked on the FRQ and then was silently freaking out on the MC. I could not remember how to work with percents (stupid I know). As far as testing conditions they sucked! There was sooo much noise because it was like random people sitting outside the testing room screaming and singing, the AC was dying and sounded like it and to finally add the last touch I had the stomach ache of my life due to nerves and a bad dinner. I just want to get this over if this is the easy exam I am screwed. I am not sure why I have not strated crying delayed reaction maybe?
