The "average" people club

You know, some of these people are not average students... they're just BAD students. There is a difference.

lol, yeah...
there should be low requirements too.

Haha I agree. Somebody establish a bottom cutoff point. I mean, hellOOO! Being average doesn't exempt you from being completely stupid!

Yea right, DramaCouch. They're not bad students. Some students tried their best in everything that can do, and can still get bad grades or tests or whatever. It's not their fault. ><!!!

[Rolls eyes] Everybody can be stupid and smart in many things, Dramacouch.

Wait...isn't the point of this thing to mock all of those people who have like 2400 SATs/4.0/15 5s on AP test/etc...

Why would you have a cut off?! That makes it just as bad!!! The "average" people should reunite! And I completely agree, sometimes it's just bad luck, not just stupidity.

No, I don't think so. xP If it was, I will of quit long long long time ago.

I think the point of this thread is just to see if students with low scores or grades or few ECs can make it to good colleges like students with high SAT scores, grades, and lots of ECS. Therefore I think that is a reason for a cutoff. XP

Who here is stupid?

Depends what you look at is stupid. Read DramaCouch's posts. =.=; The drama person is saying that I'm a "bad" student. xP Boohoo!

I'm not...But I think I used mock in the wrong sense...I don't know, with all of the requirements and stuff and the fact that "average" is in quotation marks, we're mocking the aforementioned people because on CC we, who are still doing better than most (and getting into good colleges) are only "average".

There...ha ha

Ha ha? However, in my opinion, I don't think average is based on test scores, grades, and ecs. Sure that a student that is "average" ,the one you describe, will get into a good college, and will graduate from a college based on the requirements such as test scores, grades, and ecs. However, it doesn't matter what a student gets on test scores, grades, and ecs because some people might have the same record, but it depends on how they use their mind to fix the situation, communicate, and earn the result.

Oh! I completely agree with that. Test scores/GPA/etc. should not be the standard used to judge people as "average" or not. Not in real life, at least.

The "Ha ha" was more for me, because I was unable to really express what I wanted to say the first time. Sorry.

:] It's okay. I forgive you. x]

I need to join the "average" club.

SATs: 1880, retook, hopefully 2100+, but probably not. :(
Grades: 3.89 UW, 4.3 weighted
B in calc last semester, B in eng sophomore year (!), B in Government and politics last year (!), B in two stupid freshmen year class. Eh, at least I don't have any Cs!!!! lol

No 5s, or 4s on AP tests either.

I'm back! I have decided to let people with high SAT and AP scores in if their grades are exceptionally bad (multiple C's). The "admission process" for this club is more subjective now. The original 5 requirements are merely guidelines now. I've made this decision because certain people have brought up the valid argument that like college, it is unfair to base admissions descsions solely on test scores. Therefore, BreRocks, and people like him/her, are in despite his/her high AP scores.
