The Best Universities in the World

Ha...another list...this one's as hard to characterize as its compiler, who posted it on his blog...he's an American, Anglophile, Catholic, conservative, monarchist, a St. Andrews alum, and, did I mention, elitist...oh well, for what it's worth...it's entertaining...

At least he admitted it’s biased. Interesting, thanks for the post.

Entertaining and illogical - only Annapolis is “OK” of the service academies?

Is there an actual list or are the names thrown into the article?

The author didn’t make an actual list or ranking. He just identified these schools as “best” within the rather idiosyncratic categories he described in the article.

^ I take that back…the author names St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham, Sewanee, Stellenbosch, Otago as the six best, based on his personal criteria.

Others he mentions by name include: Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard Business, INSEAD, Sandhurst, Ecole royale militaire, the French grandes ecoles, Citadel, VMI, McGill, Boston College, Salamanca, Thomas Aquinas College, St. John’s College, Dublin, Bristol, College d’Europe, Leiden, Leuven, Utrecht, Uppsala, Heidelberg, Berkeley, York, CEU, Exeter, Warwick, Jagiellonian, Charles.

ha!

I guess this fool has never heard of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business
