<p>I have not read this book yet, but I think it could be of use to a prospective applicant looking to learn more about Brown University. I’m looking forward to reading it.</p>

As Marilynne Robinson writes, in a thoughtful short piece about how education can bear fruit over time: “I am persuaded that the institutions of learning arose out of profound intuitions about the nature of the mind, specifically that the mind creates relevance out of whatever stores of learning are available to it, if they are generous and of good quality.” These are the testimonies of students who loved simply being let loose in those stores of learning, and who credit that exploratory model of education for the people they have become.
