The Bush Regime

Im just wondering what you future and current military servicemen think of these band of right-wing extremists. I hope by the time you guys graduate from the naval academy the war for oil will be over and you guys wont have to fight for $$$. By the way, i have the utmost respect for mmilitary servicemen, i just feel that they have unfortuantely been misled so Bush, The Carlyle Group, and Halliburton can make billions upon billions of dollars while military veterans are left on the street starving. What a world.

Thank you for the display of your intellectual inferiority. Back to the sandbox, child.

Confused? is that you?

It smells like a rat to me...

LOL!

Wow! How much leftist stupidity can one cram into a single post?

ROFLMAO!

Please try again when you've gotten a clue. You're embarassing yourself.

It's probably one of Confused's friends from Berzerkley or some other extremist whacko neo-communist campus. Getting your ass handed to you over and over gets old, so it's nice to spread the misery around. I suspect we'll be seeing more of them. After all, they're all smarter and better than us, remember?

I dont know who Confused is, but i am a Berkeley student. By the way Zaphod, if you want me to provide you links showing the amount that Halliburton has made during this war then just ask and i will show you links from reputable news sources (i.e. NY Times, LA Times) and even documents released by the Pentagon themselves. Do you think it is a coincidence that Cheney was V.P. at Halliburton and now they are being given "no-bid contracts" (quote from LA Times) for projects in Iraq. This means that instead of having different companies competing for the chance to take a project in Iraq, the gov't is just handing it over to Halliburton. In fact, Time magazine has recently found out that the rebuilding projects in New Orleans are also being given out to Halliburton, again no-bid. If you guys think that were over there to create a "flourishing and blossoming democracy" in the Mid East region, then you've just so intensely been indoctrinated by extreme right-wing propoganda that you belive it. The fact is that religious extremism has increased in the mid east and the Bush gang doesn't really care about it.

I just have one question that i hope just one of you can answer for me. Bush constanty says how noble and honorable the military servicemen are, then why doesn't his two daughters join the military. Just think about, he started a war and his daughters dont want to help out. Maybe you should ask him about that at your commencement speech. Not a single Republican member of Congress has a child in the military and only one Democratic member of Congress does. Why is that? Do you guys think that the Bush daughters are royal or something? Why dont they serve in their own father's war?

"i am a Berkeley student"

Well, that explains EVERYTHING.

"i have the utmost respect for mmilitary servicemen"

I gaurantee you that Bush's children feel the same way. So why don't YOU join the service? The point is, military service is not for everyone. I'm sure that if his daughters wanted to serve, Bush would have no qualms about it. Yes, he would be worried and concerned, but any respectable parent who cares about their child would be in that situation.

"Why dont they serve in their own father's war?"

This is exactly the problem with the left. You think that because the current administration is controlled by the right, you don't have to take any part in what's going on. Everything is the Republicans' fault. This is not Bush's war...this is AMERICA'S war. You're too busy hating America and the military and it's allies that all you do is ***** and moan about it.

Mmmm...after just reading some of your other posts, I've deduced that you're not even a Bezerkly student yet. Please, do yourself a favor and get as far from that place as you can. Might I make a suggestion? Try Texas A&M at College Station. They atleast have their head screwed on straight.

And one other thing. You're apparently one of those "I support the troops, but not the war" people.

IMHO, these people are full of $HIT.

How can you support someone, but not what they do? That's like saying you support the meat butcher...but not the killing of animals. It just doesn't work that way.

The HELL you say!

EVERYONE! EVERYONE, QUICK! KNEEL IN HOMAGE!! ONE OF THE ELITE ARE HERE!

WE'RE NOT WORTHY! WE'RE NOT WORTHY!

Yeah. Amazing how defense contractors make money during war. You learn that at Berzerkley, or did a neuron fire in your head on its own to expose the obvious to you?

No! Is THAT what "no-bid contract" means? Really?

Damn! Here I was thinking that it was because there are no other companies that provide those services, and therefore the bidding process was pointless.

I'm so glad you're here to enlighten us about these things!

"Extreme right-wing propaganda", eh? Does that mean listening to anything to the right of Pravda, or just reality in general?

Has it really? Gee, I remember religious extremism in the region as far back as........ Let's see........ JIMMY CARTER! Yeah, him! The idiot that sat on his thumb while the Ahyatollah came to power!

Oh, I forgot. You weren't evin an itch in your daddy's pants back then, so of course, you know nothing about it.

Because they don't feel like it. It comes with being an all-volunteer force. Are you advocating a draft? I thought you leftists were against the draft?

Tell me, if this war is so unjust, why aren't you in Iraq fighting against the American invasion? Why aren't you doing your part? Why are you sitting comfortably behind your computer instead of going out and doing something about it? Are you royalty? I bet no one at Berzerkley has a child fighting with the insurgency. Why is that? Are they special?

Please put your money where your mouth is, pack a bag and a light lunch, and fly your ass to Iraq to fight alongside your comrades. I, for one, will personally buy the Marine who caps your ass a case of his favorite adult beverage. Hell, I'll buy the first round for his whole platoon.

You people really are pathetic. Beneath contempt.

Incidentally, why didn't Chelsea sign up to fight in the Balkans? I seem to remember His Imperial Highness and God, William Jefferson Clinton, promising we would be out of that region by Christmas in 1998 or so.

We're still there.

What about Haiti? Why wasn't she there? Last I heard, the Clinton Doctrine resulted in that island being just as miserable as before (and I know how it was before because I was there during that little farce).

Just curious....

Halliburton is one of the few companies in the entire world with an infrastructure to take on projects such as N.O. In fact, it is the ONLY company in the entire world that could run the U.S. Ports that Dubai wanted to buy. Bet the L.A. Times (a reputable, unbiased, completely centered news organization, ergo the New York Times) left that out.

Factcheck.org Cheney's shares in Halliburton are to be left to charity upon his death. He no longer controls them.

Military service is a personal choice. I really never understood that argument that Bush's daughters "have" to be fighting in the military. Last time I checked (correct me if I'm wrong) we had an all-volunteer force. When you volunteer (again, let me know if we have forced service, I live in a cave and never can figure these things out) you offer yourself in service of your country. So to say that he should force his adult daughters into war is ludicrous. What else are you going to ask for, him to sacrifice his daughters lives because wars result in the deaths of sons and daughters? Where do the silly and nonsensical demands stop?

When he's dead. They won't be satisfied with anything less. If Al Qaeda manged to shoot down Air Force One with W aboard, these vermin would cheer.

COUNT on it.

I hope you do better research at Berkley than you have demonstrated in your posts. I think your research has been limited to Fahrenheit 911.

Congressman Duncan Hunter's (R-CA) son is a 1st LT in the Marine Corps who served in Iraq in 2003.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Hunter

Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) has 3 sons in the military. His oldest son served in Iraq as a Captain in the National Guard. Another son is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.

http://joewilson.house.gov/index.cfm?SectionID=18&ParentID=0&SectionTypeID=2&SectionTree=18

There may be others. I invested 5 minutes of research in an attempt to become informed. Perhaps you should invest more than 30 seconds. Additionally, I would suggest you find more balanced sources of information (it sounds as if you get your information from democraticunderground.org)

You know when someone isn't very intelligent when they come on a SA forum and some of the first words they write are "I am a Berkeley student." Yah, not a brilliant idea.

Now I know what you were talking about. I for one would enjoy a doubles duel with confused and this radical v. me and you z... if I didn't die of disbelief I would due to laughter!

And like you said, the nonsensical demands won't stop because that essentially defines liberalism. Ridiculous demands for undeserved services and contradictory statements.

If Bush were assassinated these crazies would CRY with mirth.

The pigs.

USNA81, I'm sure he didn't even spend 30 seconds. After all, Michael Moore is God. If he said it, it's obviously true.

These guys just spew their liberal crap all over the place, doesn't matter if there's any truth in it (case in point-confused 23).

You see? I wasn't exagerating.

You CAN'T exagerate with these wingnuts.

Zaphod,

I visited democraticunderground.com a few times several years ago in an attempt to get different perspectives on world events. The only viewpoints I saw were mindless vitriolic rants. These days I find NPR is about as left-wing as I can tolerate (and I have to change the station occassionally).

Mike

That site is simply unbelievable.

Even at the hight of the Clinton administration's follies, I never, EVER heard ANYTHING like the distilled hatred you hear on that site. I honestly don't know how they go on living.

The only thing I hate that strongly is Al Qaeda.

What is sad is when impressionable young people are sucked into believing that crap, and start truly breeding that hate with all their hearts. Some people are too far gone to really convert, but there's still some hope for America.
