The City College Of New York?

I got into CCNY. I want to major in psychology, and possible be a resident student, not commuter. How is the school/towers?

Congratulations!
I got accepted to CCNY also! My father and I visited the campus in January. Here are some things I noticed about The Towers:

-many options for room/suite size
-apartment style suites (single or double occupancy rooms, small kitchen, small living room, private bathrooms-not communal)
-concrete floors with thin, old area rugs
-nice furniture
-very small single occupancy rooms
-rooms have bed, bureau, desk, and small closet
-large windows in living rooms and bedrooms
-nice, modern full kitchen on ground floor
-medium sized fitness room on ground floor
-large laundry room with electronic/online feature to find available washers and dryers and to recieve notifications when your laundry is done
-busy, crowded common areas on ground floor
-in close proximity to the North Academic Center (library, classrooms, student center, cafeteria, and offices)

The only other buildings on campus I visited were the North Academic Center and the Admissions office building.
The North Academic Center is where most of your classes would be held since you are majoring in Psychology. It takes up three city blocks. The library in the NAC is very modern and high-tech and there are a lot of available computers to use. I think the NAC houses the gym as well but I can’t remember for sure. I know it has a large gym and a pool though.

Well, I hope this helped! I wish I could tell you more but I only made one visit to the campus! From what I saw on the visit, it looks like a good place to study for any kind of person. It is a very diverse school and there didn’t seem to be a “type” that dominated the campus.

Good luck with your decisions!

^Thanks! I visited today and loved it <3

Did the area seem safe?

Yes. But you still have to be careful when off campus.
