The College of New Jersey Pre-med

Is it possible to graduate from this college and go on to an ivy league medical school, or is it not known enough? For example, will someone graduating from NYU or some other well known school be more likely to get into an ivy league medical school, despite this university being the #1 public university in the state.

Much advice is needed,
Thanks!

I would love to hear about this too, I am wondering the same thing

I cannot speak specifically to medical school with a personal example, although I have heard that med schools are less driven by your undergrad location than your grades, activities and MCAT scores. I can give a personal example that someone from TSC (so when the school wasn’t even as well known as now) went on to earn a PhD from Princeton.

Medical schools are about GPA, MCAT, Volunteering and Research.
My neice graduated from TCNJ in Chemistry and will be attending Johns Hopkins Medical School next year.

I would keep in mind that many students who pick a great value state college for undergraduate may also go to a in-state college…so you see many on the survey.
