I remember someone posted stats about the percentage of CCers that got in last year.

Wasn't it like 40% or something ridiculous like that?

and....40

candlefungus: 40% for EA or for EA and RD combined

i just asked the same question that neutralnuke asked and didnt realize

For all of you who are patiently waiting for your EA decisions, below is an excerpt from the the "About Email Decisions" section of the Harvard Admissions Office website, which was recently updated:

Applicants may indicate if they would like to have their admission decision e-mailed to them. A decision letter will be sent via regular mail to all applicants, including those who receive an e-mail. We have chosen e-mail notification for its security and reliability. Compared to web page notification there is less chance of security breaches or technical problems. Applicants have the opportunity to choose e-mail notification and to update e-mail addresses at our student status page. Early Action decision e-mails will be sent on Friday, December 15th after 5pm (ET).

Good luck!

Argh, international mail is taking forever. Harvard still hasn't received my transcript and recs. :( Thank God they were postmarked about a week before the deadline, though.

I am so staying up on Friday night (GMT+8 time here) till 6AM on Saturday morning. If I can get into Harvard, it'd be so sweet.

Oh yes, and it's 39 days now, right?

The Wait Is Too Painful

ok so being the procrastinator that i am, i sent my online app with supplement and money at 1:00 a.m. on November 1st. I checked my email from Harvard, and it said my status was regular decision and said that my application was submitted on november 2nd. I checked back on Commonapp.org, and it said that I submitted my app on November 1st, but it was downloaded on November 2nd. Also, Harvard's site said that my school report wasn't in, and my counselor told me he sent that in a month ago (however 2 days ago he told me that people's school reports weren't showing up to colleges.) I e-mailed admissions and I'm having my counselor call tomorrow, but do any of you think that I will still be able to apply early action, which was my general intent? I'm going to be so upset if this doesn't work out, but I'm worried Harvard will be strict about this. Response would be awesome, sorry this is such a long post.

cheercheer, you may want to talk to staff at admissions office directly by phone and tell them your situation. there 's no much time left. my mailing materials were also missing when i checked online today, and i have written to request them to recheck for me while sending another package of application materials, with a letter of explanation and the certificate from FedEx China-to prove that i have mailed to them at 24th.Good luck to you and cheer cheer!!;)

thanks for your advice susie! i got my counselor to call Harvard Admissions today and everything is good now I'm EA and I can join yall in the countdown! ahh now the stressss
