dartmouth is what country folk call "a one-trick pony"

Yesssirr.

It's cold, in the middle of no place, and there is alcohol.

dartmouth is what country folk call "a one-trick pony"

Yesssirr.

It's cold, in the middle of no place, and there is alcohol.

hahahahaha

that's awesome.

being russian, i kinda like the cold and the alcohol, though. hmm... maybe i should reconsider harvard? :-p

Our valedictorian got deferred from Dartmouth.

He's a good friend of mine, but honestly, his strongest ability is rote memorization. It served him well as far as high school grades, but apparently won't take him much farther than that. His SAT score was an indicator.

Oh and our class has 138 people.

I'm exactly the opposite. I'm really good at comprehending, remembering, and utilizing semantics but I'm terrible at rote memorization. Really hurts my history grades because I can't remember all the names of people and places.

i'm okay at both, which is why my grades are good, but my SAT score was only okay.

i remember my teacher who was a harvard grad talking about dartmouth. "oh we called it a safety school."

who set that up, cuz that is embarrassing for all those yalies.

That's the point.

that's unbelievable.

meanwhile, I'm watching http://oldeenglish.org/

All bow down before the best comedy group... ever.

I hate those guys.

what?! how can you hate them? they are frickin hilarious.

and microsoft just totally spat upon the copyright law with their new xbox commercial (look at OE's website).

i consider myself to know a fair bit about comedy, and those guys are not funny. no argument, theyre just not funny.

dude it's not about "knowledge of comedy"

it's def taste.

obviously taste determines whether something is funny to you.
but its easy to see whether comedy has been well done, or is just a rehashing of earlier ideas. also there is such a thing as good taste, which, having seen a lot of comedy, and talking with a lot of people, i think i have.

im not saying its bad that you think its funny or anything, to each their own, but i dont think its funny and i dont think the majority of people find it funny.

again, this isnt a personal attack (all my responses are somehow interpreted that way) im just saying i dont think its funny or on a high level of comedy

on a sidenote, i <3 html tags :D

o yea, I never said it was "high comedy." That's a different genre, and I can appreciate that as well.

However, some of the Olde English episodes I find hilarious. Plus, they wouldn't be popular if the majority didn't find them funny, right?

ok, here is the real comedy, period. if you don't find it funny, i feel sorry for you

haha ali g is the man!
"i bet you regret bringing your grandparents now."

its nice! high five!

anyone know what booyakasha means :)?

hahaha yeah, whenicomearound.
