Does anyone know how you can get involved with it? Are there certain qualifications (ex. journalism major) you have to meet to work for them? I searched the website, but didn't have any luck. :/

Bump. Anyone? :(

I suggest you email the editor.

Applications to be an issue staff writer (which is the first position you can get) are open at the beginning of every semester (including the summer). I’m not sure how opinions does it, but I know for most other sections, you will write 2-3 try-out pieces that reflect what you want to write. You’ll go through editing. If they run and like all 3 pieces, then you’ll most likely get in. Also, there’s photography, design and comics to apply for.

You don’t need to be a journalism major or in the Comm school, but, obviously, you need to write well, and it never hurts to have an understanding of AP Style and journalism-style writing.

Thanks for the info.
