The Decision between Pre-Med at UCLA or USC

I’m having a tough time deciding which school to attend. Both campuses are beautiful and I can picture myself going to either school. UCLA costs me around $27,000 while USC costs me around $48,000. I apologize because I know this question is probably asked to death

I know UCLA is way cheaper but many of my friends at USC state that USC’s professors are more accessible and since I’m in FSH, there are better curves rather than at UCLA where only around 20% get A’s and the professors are more focused on research rather than personally helping undergrad students. Pre-Med is hard at any school but people “claim” that USC will provide better individual care and connections even after I graduate, making USC the better choice even if it costs a lot more. :-S

$84,000 could be usefully applied to medical school costs, reducing debt after medical school.

I wouldn’t be so sure you get easier grades at USC either. My daughter had a friend that was accepted to BS/MD with full trustee scholarship. His bio grades suffered for some reasons, he should have majored in engineering but he didn’t. Needless to say he is now just a private math and science tutor. He is not in medical school even though he only needed 3.4 to be accepted to USC MD program.
