The Engineering Open House Thread

There isn't one tomorrow, but one on Monday. I'll be there on Monday I think.

sorry it was sunday when i posted.

Should/Can I go to the Engineering Open House if I'm going to the Regent's Scholars Overnight Stay Program?

If you would like to learn more about a focus of 'Engineering at UCLA', then go to both.

Going to attend the Open House and going to check out housing. If the goal is to get my own room and bathroom, what is best game plan?

Thanks!!

off-campus housing.

I can almost guarentee that you won't have your own room or your own bathroom. But, it is possible to have a room with a bathroom. Meaning --- You will most definitely have at least one roommate and most likely two. That being said, on your housing app, apply for a plaza room.

Lol. moldau, good answer.

Any recommendations for one bedroom apt near campus?

the best way to find an apartment is to do some wandering around westwood. so it seems...

Are freshmen allowed to live off campus?

yes, freshmen are allowed to live off-campus but i wouldn't necessarily recommend it. primarily b/c you meet soo many more people in the dorms and you'd have the "typical" freshmen experience. that's my own opinion though and there are a number of first years that decide not to live in the dorms.

Yeah, not saying I'd actually do it; just wondering.
