The everlasting question - GPA vs curriculum vigor

<p>So the answer seems to be different depending on who you talk to, but really, is a higher GPA with easier classes better or a lower GPA with vigorous curriculum better?
i.e. Is a tough class with a C ok, or better to take the easy route and get an A?</p>

<p>The C totally dragged down the GPA (in my case), but do you think college admission officers will look at the fact that I persisted in the tough class and it supposedly trained me on "higher thinking skills", rather than going to get an easy A?</p>

<p>Or was I just stupid not to have dropped it? :-(</p>

<p>I think a B in an AP class is better than an A in normal, but a C in an AP class is definitely the worse of the two evils (imo)</p>
