The FedEx Thread

Negatives on FedEx, DHL, and UPS.

fwiw for Rutgers I got an email today about my acceptance, as well as the package in the mail. Came in first class mail (that might just be RU though, lol).

sansri who was the carrier?

did anyone else call?

Do you think maybe everything is sent through First-Class Mail? I mean, how much information can they send if you're accepted? Cause the booklets they sent are quite thick, but are all sent through regular mail.

I get a ton of fed ex packages because of my dad's job, so I worry if I call I'll get my hopes up for nada.

Nate, you're right. Plus what if somebody is sending your Christmas present that way? :)

ya, I never thought of it like that! I bet most ppl on CC would be dissapointed if they got christmas presents over a decision letter. lol.

DON'T DO IT. There's just no way it's going to make you feel better! If you find out you have a package coming, you're still going to wonder if that means good news or not. If you find out you don't have a package coming, you're just going to spend the day worrying if there was some mistake and maybe they don't know about it yet. Either way it'll make you more nervous.

Besides, is everyone sure it's even FedEx? The past two years Columbia has used two different carriers. Last year (my year) all the hype was about DHL, and they ended up using FedEx...they could be using pigeons this year for all you know. Just chill out and wait for the online decision. I was an absolute nervous wreck a year ago today, but even I didn't want to start calling up mail carriers to find out if I got into college.
