Silence and columbian coffee: post what you find out. I have the same problem but was planning on just trusting the email.

I’m thinking that the admission office threw out our applications long time ago; thus, the financial aid office figured that they wouldn’t need to do the extra work for us.

Yeah.

I doubt that…I mean, I have been updating my app with new info. like everyday this week, and they always reply with “Ok we updated your profile”…unless they are lying :S

I"m having the same problem as you, Columbian Coffee

In an email I received today they told me that they haven’t received my “Parent Previous Year Foreign Tax Return” (I’m an international student.) But I’m very sure that I mailed out long time ago and it was receved by the FA office!! What should I do? Should I fax again or just wait for them to find my stuff? It’s impt for me cos admission is not need-blind for international students!!

Talked to Financial aid this morning about why I couldn’t get into my account. They said it was likely a server problem but since my email read:We are happy to inform you that at this time your financial aid application is complete." that that’s what I would see on my account anyways and I didn’t have to submit anything else.

I was able to log into my account without an issue. There’s just a welcome page with a letter of like disclosure stuff and a list of contact information. I couldn’t find anywhere to click to see what they’ve received and stuff. Maybe that was just on the email?

When I looked at the Messages tab, it said that I’m missing Free Application for Federal Student Aid , Parent W2 Forms, and Parent Federal Tax Return. These are for me to send in next year though if I were to get accepted, right?

^ Yeah. FAFSA isn’t available until January, and W2s come out by February 1st.

…I totally didn’t see the messages and documents tabs at the top. I don’t even know how that happened. They were there…fail.

@ColumbianCoffee - mine is the same way!

I just called the fin.aid office and the lady I talked with said all they need is the CSS Profile, tax returns from last year, and W-2’s from last year.

you should be good to go!

My tracker says that my Student Federal Tax Return Form is incomplete. They emailed me yesterday to tell me that my FA app is complete. I’m confused…

@baldrick, yes! same here! i sent my profile at least 10 or so days before the deadline, and they haven’t received it. i wonder what’s going on with that /:

They got my CSS Financial Aid Profile, Parent Previous Year Federal Tax Return and Student’s Non-Filer Statement Prev. Yr.

My father doesn’t have W-2 forms to give since he is self-employed. I had called them to make sure of this, and they said they are aware of that. Yet it says “Not received”…shouldn’t it say N/A?

OK I was finally able to log in… They got my previous year tax returns and need this year’s only for disbersement…So mine is complete! Haha relieved…

The financial aid site is up and running for us now!

Could it be that their wanting missing F/A documents means acceptance? Just struck me that Columbia might be reviewing f/a needs for those who have already made admission… especially bcz it is nearing the Day. Or are they just sorting? I’m beginnig to envy those whose docs are missing! LOL

Deluana… Even i m not an international…

I just called the FA office and got my issue sorted. They told me they didn’t get the second page of my tax return… except it was only one page to start with. Hmmm… At least it’s fixed now.
