Bill Murray in Caddyshack giving the “Dalai Lama” or “Gunga Galunga” speech, where the Dalai Lama stiffs him on a tip, but the Dalai Lama says on his death bed, he will receive total consciousness, and Murray says, “So I have that going for me.”

My favorite scene from A League of Their Own is when Jimmy talks to Dottie about how hard it is to hit a baseball, and because it’s so hard, that’s what makes the game so great.

My favorite single line? From the newsreel, “Marla Hooch, what a hitter!” (camera is miles away)

The Jesus and Mary Chain is choice.

I’m a child of the 80s, and I am not apologizing.

I LOVED the commitments and followed andrew strong for years after that movie. i played that cd over and over!

also @MDMom1975 - shawshank is my favorite. I think i read somewhere once that they were going to leave it end at Red riding on the bus dreaming of the ocean, but then they added the actual ocean scene and it was so so so worth it. LOVE IT

SPICOLI (Sean Penn) had a lot of moments in Fast Times.

Alright Hamilton

I’ve been thinking about this Mr.Hand. If I’m here and you’re here, doesn’t that make it our time ? Certainly there’s nothing wrong with a little feast on our time.

RODNEY DANGERFIELD in Back to School

It that dress had pockets, you’d look like a pool table.

FERRIS BUELLER

The original ending saw Red board the bus to his ending narration, looking out into the horizon as the bus pulled off down the road to an uncertain future….
“The original script ended with Red on the bus, uncertain but hopeful about the future; that’s the way the story ended. But the studio executives told me, after two-plus hours of Hell, you might owe them that reunion," Darabont explained.

Amazing how one scene, with no dialog, can change a movie.

When Richard Gere comes for Debra Winger in “An Officer and a Gentleman.” In that uniform. Sigh.

Also, the “I’ve got nowhere else to go” scene:

Two kind of random romantic comedies with endings scenes I love:

Green Card with Andie McDowell and Gerard Depardieu. From the moment she reads the letter he left for her (“When are you coming, cherie?”) to their final embrace as the deportation officers look on, realizing that they are, in fact, madly in love.

Crossing Delancey with Amy Irving and Peter Riegert. Such a sweet ending and fantastic performance by Reizl Bozyk “Come children, come. Let’s put the bubbe to bed.”

The explanation in Shawshank Redemption about how Andy’s plan worked. (trying not to spoil for anyone who hasn’t seen it-ha)

A League of her Own-the delivery of the war letter to Betty

Rudy-crowd chant

Evita- “You Must Love Me”- arriving home from hospital in wheelchair.

Titanic-flashback that starts with Kate Winslet’s big hat to revealing her face and the boarding of the ship-contrast of classes. Also the shenanigans that happen below deck when Rose meets Jack by the clock.

Pretty Woman…so many…singing to Prince in the bathtub, red dress/necklace/going to opera, shopping on Rodeo Drive after her makeover.

And yes—-Terms of Endearment-Give my daughter the shot!
