The Game we have all been waiting for...

^ LOL… You guys still wanna take Tedford?

Les Miles is a good coach and I have nothing against LSU, so I will be rooting for LSU over OSU!

As for the next Michigan coach, if we cannot Miles, Kelly would be my second choice.

Kelly would be fantastic..but our AD is dumb so he won’t go after him..people are saying he isn’t even on the top 5 list.

Les Miles would be a fool not to talk to Michigan … if only as a way to get a much better deal at LSU.

Now a stupid question. Will Illnois now have a chance to the Rose Bowl?

I agree GoBlue. And I am sure he will talk to Michigan. The only two parties that have not spoken out yet are Les Miles and Michigan. I don’t think Les Miles has not signed any agreement with LSU yet.

Do you not get ESPN where you are? Miles couldn’t have made it any clearer. He will be at LSU next year. He will NOT speak to Michigan or any one else. He will NOT be going to Michigan. He still loves them and will root for them over OSU but he will NOT be coaching there. I think the message was pretty darn clear.

If he turned back on what he said yesterday, he would look terrible in the eyes of the public…

That shouldn’t stop him from re-negeotiating a better deal with LSU… the Michigan deal puts him in a good bargaining position.

The CNN guy now predicts Illinois and USC in the Rose Bowl, and Michigan and Florida in the Capital One Bowl. Any comments?

I don’t understand why Illinois is going to the Rose Bowl. Both Illinois and Michigan are tied at #2 in the conference and Michigan beat Illinois.

^^^ bc Illinois is ranked in the top-12 of the BCS standings, which is required for a non-conference champion to get into a BCS bowl game.

^ Illinois is the only team to beat the Buckeyes. Congrats to the Illini.

Congrats to us too. We are now going to a real bowl game on New Year’s Day and playing a worthy opponent. We will have a full team again and our seniors have a chance to redeem themselves.

I’m also rooting for the Buckeyes and the Illini. I’m sick of all the negative press against the Big Ten this season.

Sounds like Miles got his deal with LSU afterall:

“Herbstreit says he was a victim of timing. He says he got his information from an unnamed source during the week. But within hours of his report, Miles forged a lucrative agreement with LSU. “When I made that report public, it was very accurate. At that point, the wheels started to move. LSU, to their credit, got proactive and didn’t allow Les to go (to Michigan).””

When do you guys think we will find out who the new coach is?

I too will be rooting for all Big 10 teams save OSU. I would ordinarily root for OSU too, but since this is for the NC, I would have to root against OSU because if they win the NC, we’d never hear the end of it from the Buckeye faithful! LOL!

Now that Miles is staying put, whatever happens to the Tenuta rumor?

goblu: can you post that link please? it will be an interesting article to read. thanks!

Bill Martin is no idiot. And he is not going to make any hire “in a panic.”
