the great crash of telebears

I got as far to the “choose grade option for the class.” and then Bam,"You are unable to add this course because you have exceeded the transaction limit on Summer TeleBEARS. To make further changes to your schedule, please complete the Record Change Form and submit it to the Summer Sessions Office. "

So can we all confirm that it gives the “exceeded transaction limit” error after the grade option screen?

yes. not sure if that is a almost permanent transient error from overload or the more likely programmign screwup coupled with shiftless incompetent QA testing

send moar emails!!! and yes transaction limit is common

^ Affirmative. Argh.

Does telebears operate by the adjustment period schedule, or is it just always open hours for summer? (so if its not fixed before 8 will we have to wait for the section for our last name?)

I sent only one email. I don’t know if it would be good to send more than one.

I am monitoring a couple of classes and none have had a single student registered yet, leading credence to the stupidity alternative and lessening the chance it is just inadequate resources producing spurious errors

did you guys use “reload” alot or the “add new tab” thing to like create checkpoints along ur way down the ■■■■■■■■ road of telebears?
im getting an eerie feeling that that was a bad idea…

doesnt matter if you click through the straightforward way, reload or use any other shortcut - same pos

@AdequateRemedy

If anything, it will probably be fixed after 9 AM, when the folks get their butts in the office and get cracking on this error. I don’t know about everyone else, but I am going to give up for now.

I’ve done the “add a class” bit so many times now that my CCN is ingrained into my memory…

no it probably won’t help sending more emails but it will flood them. making me lolz.

it is getting easier to get to the add class screen and efficiently through to the error. In any sane world, the IT staff would be on special duty at the launch of some major new function or stage. This portends well for the poor applicants when they check for admissions status later this year.

rider730 has nice vocabulary
omg i woke up for this garbage and stayed up with this garbage taste in my mouth for half an hour… time to go brush my teeth

Has anyone tried calling?

Now there is no fair way to start the registration, unless they cancel this and start over tomorrow at 7AM. At some unpredictable point, the error will be fixed and whoever is registering then will get into their chosen classes.

office or regg is closed
who else to call?

they need to just go back to the fail scheduling system.

1-800-wedontgiveaf*** which is the general number for getting help with bureaucratic snafus or unfair situations.
