This freshman came up to me and said, "See you in algebra!" I guess I can pass as a freshman.

i'm a freshman, and I pass as a sophomore/junior.

Sizes vary at my high school. You can't identify most as being a freshman, sophmore, etc.

i'm a freshman and i pass as a teacher.

Wow, surge.

Stop ridiculing the OP. The bottom line is that it is never too early to start researching colleges. As a freshman, you have three years to think about it. Three years, thats really not that long of a time. Most kids start thinking about college in their junior year which, imo, is way too late. Congrats to you for taking the initiative to start researching for your future. I was on this website when I was a freshman, and I learned much.

very curious indeed

i didnt realize how many freshman were are here.....cool..of course i already know cooljoe and shravas but wow........hey what kind of volunteer hours are you guys trying to get??

p.s.~OJ..if you actually say "da" instead of "the" then you need to go back to being a freshman and retake english....

I am a freshman and I have just started doing community service. In fact, this Spring Break I'll try volunteering at the public library.

i'm a freshman, and i volunteered at a local children's museum for a while. i have 39 hours, but i quit a few weeks ago because it was really boring.

when colleges look at this, will they see 39 hours in 1 academic year as a lot or a little?

I don't believe they'll look down on you if you have that many.

I would recommend finding something you actually enjoy. I coached middle school intramural rec basketball and that was like 40 hours of a ton of fun. Don't do things just to look good for college

Um, I'm just volunteering at the library this summer for fun. I never actually thought of doing it for college. Haha, wow, I just realized that it could actually count for somethingin college admissions. Wow.

That's what I am doing this summer too, shravas. I am also going to do it because I can't think of a better place to volunteer at since I absolutely love reading and literature.

It's time I stepped in. This thread must be brought back!

Class of 2009, respond!

So the symbol of 2009 will be an olive tree that speaks as its leader. 2008 has no symbol, but 2007 has the gun barrel.
And shravas, think no more of college admissions...you have found something you might enjoy. Don't jinx it and kill it now!

You are right, kman1456. I must speak for all my fellow freshmen!

It would provide a good and humorous explanation to why there are so many freshman hippies at my school whom are peace advocates...

Hippy freshmen? I've never heard of those before!

I'm with you Olive_Tree!
