The Hispanic Thread

I thought we should have a Hispanic thread to since there's a Desi and Asian thread on here.

Not sure if we already have one, though.

So what's up?

Asian thread is talking about rice… I don’t know what Hispanics are known for, really.

What’s your favorite Spanish dish?

Mine is Ajiaco. O ceviche, pero depende, the chef tiene que ser Peruvian.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez fan?
Not Hispanic but I adore him.

My favorite food is arroz con gris, chuletas, croquetas, and platanos!

Horchata! Bahah

I’m not Mexican… but I absolutely looove Mexican sweet bread. <3 I think it’s called, um, pan dulce right?

I don’t know actually, pan de dulce maybe?

I’m Cuban. How about everyone else?

My grandma was from Mexico, and even though she died before I was born I still identify very much with Hispanic culture… even though I’m far more white genetically, haha.

My fav meal would have to be pernil!

And I’m Dominican and puerto rican (more dominican though)

Momma’s born in Colombia, I was born in Panama and lived there for 12 years

I’m hispanic right? ;)

I am mixed-race but my dad is full-blooded second generation Puerto Rican. I live with my mom throughout the school year but I go to visit my dad and his family every summer.

@LadyHollie: I don’t know about Mexican cuisine but in Puerto Rico there is also a delicious bread that is called pan dulce. It’s not really a desert though, not even sugary, it almost tastes like a tasty roll. :D

I’m Cuban too, born in San Jose, Costa Rica.

i like burritos and tacos and taco sauce
