Is this the highly praised vocab list every one is talking about?

I opened up the book to see the word chicanery, which appeared on the Nov. test.

I opened up the book to see the word chicanery, which appeared on the Nov. test.

Yes.......

around how many words is this? I cant wait to combine this with RR COre Words.

bump..............

PR's word list is so freakin' awesome. When I took the Oct SAT (cancelled it, but for math), I knew every vocab word that showed up without even having to guess. (In Dec '07, I missed one SC, with no prep, but still...).

PR + RR + DH is the triumvirate of SAT vocabulary :]

hi guys. are you sure RR + PR + DH will help you through all the vocab you'll need. i've made up a list based on those three books and i'm about 60-70% through that list. so once i'm done i'll still have two weeks or so before my december SAT. so what would you recommend next, for vocab?

is this list the same as the one in the PR SAT book?

and does the list change from 2005 edition to 2007 edition to 2008 edition?

Hi everyone,

PR = Princeton Review? And could someone please explain to me what RR and DH are?

Thanks a lot! =)

Pr = princeton review
RR = Rocket Review (good vocab list)
DH = Direct Hits (best vocab list)

Haven't really heard anything positive about PR Hit Parade... sounds like too many words per hit ratio to me. Direct Hits is definitely a good one though.

PR doesn't contain that many words. And many of them are not nearly as hard to learn as some other lists may be.

249 vocabulary words.

It shouldn't matter how hard the words actually are compared to other lists as long as it has a high hit ratio compared to other lists. Otherwise, what's the point in studying all easy words that will not appear.
