The Ideal Harvard Nerd

Whoa, cool it down here. Yes, OP would do well to focus more on actually achieving his goals than fishing for compliments, but ad hominem ad nauseum may be a little much.

The only shoo ins are athletes like myself. But not just any old athletes… Athletes with 2300+ wins at international rowing competitions and leadership positions in many other ecs… So basically i am the only shoo in better luck next life

That’s very nice and all, but wasn’t this thread supposed to be closed? The OP already left a few days back.

I think all of the mods to this forum disappeared as of about a month ago. I’m surprised gadad hasn’t been around, and I’m hoping he’ll come back soon. (The rest seemed to be missing before then, but I might be forgetting somebody.)

just wondering- if in your opinion he won’t be able to make it into Harvard, than who will?!

Statistically, he may be qualified, but admissions at Harvard is a holistic process and is thus subjective. Some people have a much better chance than others, but that doesn’t mean they’re a shoo-in. As csyankees9 pointed out, recruited athletes are the only ones that can be sure of their place in a future class before the admissions letters start rolling out.

Take a look at the thousands of chance threads on this website and you’ll see a number of qualified applicants who are unsure of their chances. This is because, as I said before, the process is very subjective and dependent on how the adcom views the applicant as a whole.

Great Stats. How are you taking all AP classes in 11th grade? My school only lets you do 2 junior year. :frowning: How are u in calculus BC? Do u take classes over the summer? :)

lolno

I don’t think you’ll get in, tbh.
Nothing about you stands out.

LOLOLOL I like how you brought up this old post.
The OP was obviously lying (normally i would use the word “trolling,” but in this case he is lying)- go check the USAMO Winner/HM list and Physics camp list-there isn’t a guy like OP. Geez srsly I do NOT believe that OP qualified for AIME but didn’t go b/c of illness- he had two chances to take it. I feel sympathetic for OP- he probably didn’t achieve any of these but was simply posting it to acquire some kind of fake self esteem.

He at least could have posted stats that were less boring.

This op is truly overpowered. MOP and IPHO??? AND INTEL??? I hope this is a ■■■■■ post :/

I doubt OP even lives in Nashville. What private school do you go to ? As a nashvillian, I don’t see any. It’s people like you who ruin our southerner’s good name.
