Yes, I applied for full aid ... even plane fares! :D

@Prateek: Add me up on Facebook! (Search Adrivit Mukherjee)

congratulations, Prateek..i think the aid factor caught up with me big time at NU.

congrats guys:)

are you guys gonna do engineering?

Congrats! How high is Duke ranked? I haven't got much knowledge about it :( Is it better than IIT?

Thanks guys :)

@Vandit: I think so too....cuz ur a very very strong applicant otherwise....

I'm doing engineering :)

As for Duke rankings....ask adrivit :p
i dunno bout Duke :S

And the Indian fixation with rankings continues...:p

@tetris: We all know that story well, na? ;)

@gary7: Duke is one of the best universities in the world. Definitely better than the IIT, totally different league actually. USNews ranks it at No. 13 in the world whereas IIT doesn't feature in the list. You get the picture, don't you?

@adrivit- Yes I get the picture now- I know nothing about US universities.....
I dunno what univs I'm aiming for either. I just know I wanna go into a good undergrad nuclear physics program or whatever closest I can get :p

It's nice that you have selected your major. Now get down to work and select some schools to apply? Which class are you in now? Nuclear physics at the undergrad level is not a good idea I would say, too narrow. Go for a general physics degree and specialize during your masters.

got wait listed at Carleton..3 rejections and now a wait list and all i have left is the ivies..am really worried now.

Which is the most "Indian" ivy ? I mean which one has the most number of indians ?

^ hard to tell.

Penn or Cornell definitely....

i'm indian too and I need some help,guys...I just finished my 11th final exams and I'm taking the SAT on May 2(been self-studying for last 3 months)...will definitely be taking the SAT subject tests too. So,what else should I do?I dunno much about the admissions process. On a little research,I seem to be interested in UMich,Purdue,UPenn and I wanna do engineering.

Well, statistically, the greater the population of the college --> greater number of indians. So, yes, in that sense Penn and Cornell would have the highest number of Indians.

Got into Duke!
Fingers crossed for the Ivy league schools on the 31st...

Congrats! Can you guys post your stats? And good luck for ivy :)

I know that this is outside the topic in this thread, but who are you rooting for in Roadies ?
Go Sufi !!!!

same here
but i guess he is the winner
