The Indian Thread (TiT) # 17

Would it be possible NOT to submit class 9 and 10 reports? Lol. Just ICSEs and 11-12?

MIT? At least their curriculum doesn’t match up to the IITs…
Obviously, its got everything else.

@Quasi: It’s not NOT possible ;)

So I can do that??? Really???

I’d probably get rejected by every uni I apply to if they see my 11th scores…lol

Why? Is it below 70%?

but still u will be in top tenth percent of ur class
and i think that is what matters…

top tenth %?
You’d need to be 1/1000 for that :P

@gary—it simply means u should be amingst ranks 1 to 3 or 4 in a class size of 60 or above…:p

Hello everyone, any tips on the visa interview and visa in general? I don’t think I can get my visa this month :(. Is it possible (and all right) to book the interview for the first week of June?

It seems like everyone thinks that rank trumps GPA…

@Quasi: It depends on your school’s policy. I think adrivit sent in only his ICSE and ISC marks, you should check up with him

@gary:

No…I have scored 70+ in all my subjects…class rank isn’t great though…the whole year,I ended up getting between 5th and 1oth in a class of 50…12th grade will be different for sure…but,unfortunately,they don’t consider it…so…:(

First term of 12th grade is considered for me

I myself am a 79% guy. I’ll be having my first term examinations in June. They are meant to be super tough with the topper getting around 90-93% among a thousand students or so.
By the way, I just realized it might look pretty cool to be in top 10/1000 or something :stuck_out_tongue: Though its waaaay to tough with all those muggus and scary teachers with horrifying marking schemes!

The coolest is to have no class rank at all :p

Haha jk. That would be awesome, gary.

Yea…the marking schemes are horrifying…they look for “keywords” they say…keywords ********…I first thought CBSE had an open mind towards marking,they too are no different!

oops did I use a bad word??I’ve been censored by the mod I guess:p

Oh ISC has key words in some subjects, no key words in others. 'Tis weird :S

Really? Except for maths, which subject doesn’t have keywords? Even a subject like E.Ed. has keywords.
