Key words s**k
So does CBSE
(Both punished my entire school for knowing proper English)

If you get 80%+ in my school in 11th you’ll be topping O.o

@GeneralMaximus- Yup, it’s OK to have your interview in the first few weeks of June. No need to worry
Out of curiosity, which college?

Gary, I just saw the message you left me on Yahoo messenger in March. haha

Some foresight…

We don’t have E.Ed keywords here in school O.o

Apart from that, my English teacher doesn’t use keywords either.

Dunno, in the end we all do well in the boards

@prateek92: Thanks. I’ll (hopefully) be attending UIUC. I’ve got a completely jammed schedule in the next three months, and getting a visa is just causing a bit more stress for me.

UIUC, well done.

Nice GM! Another friend of mine, Rohan is joining UIUC as well.
@tetris- How well do you mean by ‘well’? Remember the scary stats I showed you last time around? Believe me, its all in the keywords. You don’t need to understand the stuff really, as long as you can mug up the keywords. Though in the english long answer for 12th, expression is a lil important. But still ketwords are the key.

English is not a very big problem for me in school though…90 in my 10th CBSE boards and 86 in my 11th:)

92 in ICSE(Left 4-5 marks in lit )
11th, don’t remember exactly but somewhere around 85 I guess.
We have fixed MM like 80% on long answers and essay etc.
Grammar and RTCs are still scoring.

90 in my 10th CBSE boards and 86 in my 11th

I’m jealous about the first one :p

GM, most people have their interviews in the first weeks of June so your fine. You have a tight schedule while I have NO schedule at this point

When do interviews start for us 2014ers?

^ application to submit karlo :P

:P Just a fair idea? October or later?

@gary: ISC avgs are mostly all above 90% at least in science, a few stray 85s and the class slacker gets aroudn 75 (after flunking the whole year!)

I also got 92 in ICSE. In the 11th the teacher doesn’t give above 78 (very high grade deflation –> think max of 18 in the essay answers in lit), and I’ve been getting around that so yeah :D

Depends on when you submit your apps
MIT has a early deadline fir interviews
I had my first one in December (Yale) and last one in Feb (Princeton)

Although usually they start Jan all through to March

18 in the essay answers? 16’s the max here.

So how’d you guys do these interviews? By phone? Or in person?

ELO ALL…!!..
So, who got in where?..
Hope all in their dream college…

Mine were all in person.

Although interviews mean nothing. My princeton interviewer flat out told me he expected me to get in after hearing my ‘ideas’
And then march 31st
Kaboom!

As long as you don’t do badly, its all good :)

Hello isaac! Well i didn’t exactly get my dream college but northw, carnegie, harvey mudd, uiuc are not that bad
Stupid cornell gave me a ridiculous gap year deal.

where did you get in, isaac?

All you 2013ers from India…it would be nice to see your stats and where you got accepted/rejected… so,we could get an idea of what is needed(if you don’t mind ofcourse) :)
