The Indian Thread (TiT) # 17

@Quasi- My vocab’s embarrassingly weak :frowning: I only know the meaning of Quasi as used in physics :stuck_out_tongue: Nothing to do with prosaic!
And tetris, its time you changed your name to brownfan! Never seen anyone love a college soooooo much!

xxxx (mwl - 2.19.2009) –>
whats that?

That speaking section is annoying. You just have to keep talking and talking and…
Other than that the test should be a breeze compared to the SAT.

It should be a cruise for normal Indian girls :D

^ Don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. May be the normal Indian girls will have a better idea.

P.S. Yes, you have guessed it right from my meaningless post that I’m getting close to the 300 posts mark.

WHOOO! I JUST REACHED MY 300TH POST!  LOL!

(happy dances)…

(realizes he doesn’t know how to dance)…

(and this is a public forum)…

(is red-faced and stops dancing… and runs away)…

LOL! there- people can post nonsensical stuff even after the 300 mark! :D

and i challenge ANYONE to beat tetris’ post count! LOL! why don’t they make you a mod or something?!

^For the post count how about daveberry or sallyrubenstone but for us mere mortals beating tetrisfan’s post count is impossible. But making you a mod does sound good. :)

Meanwhile, I’m a step closer to the 300 mark.

@gary: You and your stereotyping of Indian girls…

Eh, I don’t wanna be a mod. I’d need to post responsibly and stuff :p

Ah! I was expecting a stronger reaction to my stereotyping joke! You people don’t even know when you’re supposed to hit someone.

hits you

Happy?

Did you guys know that it’s a mating ritual for Kharia girls to go and force themselves into the house of guys they fancy and withstand getting beaten up/going without food/abuse for a few weeks until they’re accepted by the family as his wife? (In other words, I have a Sociology test tomorrow.)

Thats violent and cruel !!! :frowning:
What the f*** kind of a ritual

There’s more.

The Bhils have this ritual where they string coconuts and gud on the top of a tree, and the tribe of girls dance around it, and a guy has to break past their circle (they can tear off his clothes and flesh, beat him up with broomsticks while he’s trying) and get to the top and eat the gud before he gets the right to marry one of them.

500 wheeeeeeee!

will u plz stop telling us about insane rituals and insane people???
That’s terrible :(

Hey everyone, something really really great happened yesterday. I had got a 1760 on my SAT in May and on the urging of my friends and family, I had it rechecked. My new score was 2050 :D. I know that 2050 is pretty average by CC standards but its a good enough for many prestigious schools according to the collegeboard. Now, its mission SAT 2 in October.

^ Wow.Congratulations. That’s very very rare.

Omg thebigcheese awesome! Glad you’re not shelving your US plans after all.

rt, I actually have to LEARN all these insane rituals and write about it. I’m just spreading the misery. :p

^ Strangely enough,I’m actually finding these rituals quite fascinating.
