I have an interview this upcoming Saturday and I was wondering what I should wear. We're meeting at a local coffeeshop so I feel a suit would be way too formal. However I still want to look appropriate without being too casual.

Any suggestions?

I am a female. One that is admittedly vain when it comes to clothing at that.

:))

For the one that was at a Dunkin Donuts, D wore a tunic length belted cardigan with cami, leggings, and boots (it was winter) and finished with appropriate jewelry - I think this was for Bowdoin.

She used dress black pants, a number of times, with heels and various nice tops and jewelry.

One on campus was a casual skirted suit with ballet flats.

Thanks!
Ah the Dunkin Donuts one sounds very cute.

I guess it’s best to dress for the environment huh?

For the environment and true to yourself. You need to feel comfortable both physically and mentally for your interview. Just watch out for excessive skin ie cleavage or short skirts or overly casual like jeans and such. Also watch out for over the top makeup and I have also read warnings about perfume/cologne usage.

Pinstripe skirt, white top, kitten heels, light (!) makeup/perfume for an interview in the lobby of a fancy-schmancy hotel where the interior decorations likely cost more than the tuition to the school.
